PRIVATE prescription holders will automatically be registered on our software, as repeat prescription users if they send their prescriptions to our pharmacy at least once a month, for three consecutive months.
Please note, that patients and the general public, are not allowed direct access to the pharmacy premises and should therefore request their surgery to send prescriptions to our dispensary, on their behalf, either ELECTRONICALY via the NHS ETP (Electronic Transmission of Prescriptions), by fax, and in very special circumstances some requests can also be made over the phone in which case our pharmacy driver will collect such prescriptions from the surgery. Prior to dispensing and delivering any medication and in order to minimise verbal errors as well as fraudulent requests, it is therefore advisable to encourage surgery staff to fax urgent prescription requests as opposed to phoning them through until their surgery becomes ETP enabled.
Patients are allowed to request Repeat prescriptions up to7 days prior to running out of current medication and in such cases could opt to sending paper prescriptions by post.
please also take note of our new postal correspondence address
